Sean Warren

I have worked in the education sector since the 1980s. Throughout my 20 years in the classroom, I adopted the role of practitioner-researcher to try and understand ‘effectiveness’. Whilst undertaking a 6-year part-time doctorate, I became aware of Functional Fluency. The model succinctly captured much of my lived experience which underpinned my approach as an authority figure. The deconstruction and articulation of my action-research is documented in the publication 'Living Contradiction' (2017). I now work remotely to support teachers through coaching and lesson analysis using digital tools created and developed through my research.
