Fluent Leaders

As a leader of a team or organisation you play an essential role. No matter your level of self-motivation, how smart, talented, driven or passionate you are, your success depends on your ability to set and execute the organisational agenda and motivate your people to reach them.

A functionally fluent leader is one adept in coaching and mentoring who can inspire employees and teams to work well together with a common purpose toward a shared vision and goals. Conversely, uncooperative people can cause unnecessary disruptions, failed delivery, poor performance, higher staff turnover, dissatisfaction, reluctance, absenteeism, stress and burn out.

By introducing Functional Fluency to your organisation, you help employees and teams to:

  • Take responsibility for their actions
  • Feel happy with themselves
  • Cooperate better
  • Experience greater peak performance
  • Bring a ‘can-do’ attitude to every area

The beauty of Functional Fluency is that there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. Functional Fluency is instead a framework that helps organisations to continuously evolve their learning and development, by empowering their people to use their strengths and make more effective choices. • What qualifications do I need to become a TIFF© Provider?

You will need three years relevant experience in a helping or managerial profession (for example coaching, counselling, consulting, training, mentoring, psychotherapy) and a basic knowledge of Transactional Analysis (TA). For those without any prior knowledge of TA, on which the Functional Fluency model is based, a short separate course can be provided for an additional charge. For more information please visit the Training Program on this website.

Your Personal TIFF Experience

A great way to start getting to know Functional Fluency is through your own personal "TIFF Experience". This process really puts the "personal" back into "personal development".

You can choose a licenced TIFF provider, who you feel you can connect with. This person will provide you with a link to fill in a TIFF questionnaire online in your own time. The result of this will be a snapshot of your patterns of social behaviour. In a collaborative one-on-one feeback session, your TIFF provider will support you in making sense of your behavioural profile and provide guidance for how to use this information.
