An ode to Functional Fluency ....

What happens when deep behavioural insight meets poetic flair? You get this playful, heartfelt tribute from coach, facilitator and TIFF Provider© Ian Dunnett.
Inspired by the transformative power of 'Get on the Mat©' and the wisdom of Functional Fluency’s GOTM© trainers John Fleming and Kamla de Haas, Ian’s poem reminds us that personal growth can be both powerful and light-hearted.
Take a moment to read - and smile.....
An ode to Functional Fluency / Getting on the Mat and wonderful Trainers
"Get on the Mat – what’s there not to like?
It’s a menu and a map to behavioural insight
Have you a situation or a person that’s got you in a stew?
Are you stuck and don’t know what to do?"
"Step forward as you are and no one else
Explore your situation, put it to the test
Step on the map, explore your feelings
Hear and see your impact on other human beings"
"For behaviours are a choice for you to make
But first you need a menu to explore which one to take
And Functional Fluency provides us that directive
It shines a light on how to be effective"
"Life is short and our energy finite
We want effectiveness and thriving to define it
Don’t question if this works – It’s true!
The question is…. Do you?"
And (just before I go – if you’re still awake) a verse about our GOTM Trainers
"They’re the perfect Yin and Yang of trainers
They’re an absolute delight
They walk the talk so deftly
And it’s not about ‘who’s right!’"
"What a knowledge, what a wisdom, what a passion they both share
Functional fluency on steroids represented by this pair
We’re so fortunate to have them, their approach is zero drama
We celebrate and thank the Universe for the functional John and Kamla"
Thank you dear Ian for the energy, passion, creativity and wisdom you bring to the Functional Fluency community, and for sharing it with us!
Also, heartfelt thanks to John and Kamla for all the energy and thoughtful contributions you have put into the redesign of our GOTM© Facilitator Training.
You remind us that reflection can be powerful and playful — and that we all have the ability to “Thrive at life!’
P.s. .....What's not to like?!!
